Sinopsis

José de Nebra (1702-1768) was the most important Spanish composer of his time. He worked for the Spanish court for more than four decades and was a successful author in Madrid's public theaters. However, after his death, most of his works were forgotten or lost. "Nebra. The triumph of music" reviews the life and times of this brilliant musician, and follows the recovery process of one of his operas, "Venus and Adonis", which had not been performed for almost 300 years. The musician and researcher Luis Antonio González (IMF-CSIC) faces the challenge of reconstructing an old manuscript and bringing it to the stage. An exciting journey from the darkness of the archives to one of the most prestigious musical centers in Spain: the Auditorio Nacional de Madrid.
